Ministries …

Music Ministry- Focus to praise God with song in worship. All choirs practice weekly from September through May.

Senior Choir-

Junior Choir- 2nd to 7th grades.

Cherub Choir- 3 to 1st grade.

Senior Bell Choir-

Special Music: Brass Ensemble, Men's Quartet, and various individuals sharing music using voice or instruments.

 

Cemetery Association- This ministry  is shared between St. John's UCC and St. John's Lutheran. The purpose is to provide a comfort to individual and families by providing reasonably priced lots and the maintenance of the Luteran and UCC cemeteries.  

 

Health Ministries- The goal of this ministry is to maximize the physical, emotional and spiritual health for the members of the church. It currently provides regular blood presure screening on Sunday a month following either worship service. The group promotes wellness by submitting an article for each newsletter.

 

Undershepherd Ministries- This ministry is love and care for the people of St. John's through prayer, visitation, sharing worship with shut-ins through tape ministry and other special needs.

 

Local Food Bank- On the first Sunday of every month we collect non-perishable food items for the local food bank.

 

Soup Kicthen- Every month the church provides volunteers to the Allentown Soup Kitchen.

 

Chrsitian Education- Our Sunday School program begins at 3 for our preschool class. There is a kindergarten and first grade class, a second and third grade class, a fourth and fifth grade class, and a middle school class, and a senior high class. There are also 2 adult educational programs. We also hold occasional bible studies.

 

Youth Ministires- This minsitry is to provide spiritual growth to our  5th graders on up.
