Adopt A Homebound Program
One Year Old In November One year ago, 34 members of St. John’s “adopted” a homebound member
in a program designed to care more deeply and personally for our
shut-ins. This year has passed quickly and my hope and prayer is that
all 34 members have taken time to be in touch in someway with the person
they “adopted”. I certainly would like to speak with each one of you and
hear about you and your adopted homebound and the creative ways in which
you cared for them. Also if you wish to continue either with your
adopted friend or with another. If you forgot who you adopted, there is a list posted in the Narthex
on the 4th street side of the church. We really need to continue to
touch all members who can no longer attend church regularly. It is the
Christ-Like thing to do. Let us strive to be more Christ-Like in all we
do. Nancy Wieder

for the beautiful floral arrangement sent to Ruth Zellner. Your kindness
was certainly appreciated.” [Alton Zellner] |
