Adopt A Homebound Program One Year Old In November

One year ago, 34 members of St. John’s “adopted” a homebound member in a program designed to care more deeply and personally for our shut-ins. This year has passed quickly and my hope and prayer is that all 34 members have taken time to be in touch in someway with the person they “adopted”. I certainly would like to speak with each one of you and hear about you and your adopted homebound and the creative ways in which you cared for them. Also if you wish to continue either with your adopted friend or with another.

If you forgot who you adopted, there is a list posted in the Narthex on the 4th street side of the church. We really need to continue to touch all members who can no longer attend church regularly. It is the Christ-Like thing to do. Let us strive to be more Christ-Like in all we do.

Please get in touch with me either in church or by telephone (610-965-5295).

Your partner in caring,

Nancy Wieder

All Are Welcome

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. (Matthew 28:18-20)
